Features
  • 3, 4 and 5 rotor designs with large support bearings
  • heavy duty construction
  • inclined rotor array
  • no transfer plates between the rotors - hence live floor
  • live bottom with customized IFO
  • bark and debris conveyor
  • small low pressure footprint
  • all or a portion of the rotor discs interleaf to retain fibre and provide primary classification - hence open bottom
  • each successive rotor, from low position thru high position, rotates at an increased rate to prevent pull thru
  • rotors are placed in a compound angle to optimize rotation
  • high frequency of abrader blocks on the rotors
  • rotors are specifically configured for each application to provide optimum performance in reaching desired targets
  • rotors rotate and in turn agitate and tumble the fibre
  • debarker is placed on an incline to assist wood movement
  • wood moves to the lowest end
  • abraders bruise the bark and create a weak point at the bark to fibre interface where the rubbing of log on log can complete the bark removal process
  • stationery cutters can be placed on the sidewall and finger plates to assist in difficult debarking conditions
  • can be fed over the side parallel to the rotors, conveyed in from the end above the rotor bed, conveyed in at the rotor bed height, grapple or button top feed, crane feed, etc.
  • DEAL is the first commercial application of the open bottom live floor rotary debarker

Recent innovations include:
  • side discharge stem management
  • independent electric or hydraulic rotor drives
  • specific tooling to limit cutting depth

DEAL Processor

rotorgraphic.bmp

The DEAL Processor can effectively handle and debark the entire fiber diet of your woodroom.

From large diameter and conventional wood sources through to the rat tail and terminal top, fiber recovery can increase by as much as 15 percent over other conventional debarking methods. Like the debarker, the Processor uses the patented disc abrader system, providing dynamic action for effective size classification and debarking of logs and residual fiber sources.

It is capable of handling landfill recovery material, sawmill waste streams, dormant or dry material, conventional pulp wood diets, natural disaster fiber clean up, oversize, split or decadent material, mineral/organic contaminated wood, short, long stringy bark, small diameter wood, and even lily pads.

It can be used in landfill wood fiber reclamation projects, and is also suitable to process material that is  moderately limbed.
